As Eric, my sportdirector said: Luckily you didn´t say that there will be an haircut after every victory, then it will not take long until you´re bold! ;)
Yesterday we raced in Vodelee, two stages in one day with a timetrail in the morning and a roadrace in the afternoon.
I left Zingem at 05.45 and the rain was pouring down. I didn´t start until 11.20 so I had time enough to get awake and the rain was almost gone when it was time for me to start. I had a good feeling through the 11,3 km that we did and passed the finishline 24 seconds faster than Kirsten Wild that was 2nd.
In the afternoon we had a roadrace of 84km and already in the beginning they started attacking. A group off five riders got away (two from my team, Sofie Goor and Laura Werner). In the last premio montaña Sofie attacked from the group and went solo to the finish. Behind them Laure sprinted in to a 2nd place and just after them my group came and I sprinted in to a 5th place.
In the General Classification we had a nice podium with Sofie as 1th, me as 2nd and Laura as 3rd. What more can you ask for…??!!
Today it´s an easy day and I´m going to watch the last day of the Tour:)

My mum is turning 50 today and I wish that I could be there to celebrate her. It´s days like this when your whole family are coming together that you want to be at home (especially when it´s raining in Belgium). Anyway… I wish you the best birthday you can have without your favourite doughter there ;)

It was a nice victory in the midddle of a tough period of training. When I came back to Belgium me and Martin sat up a trainingschedule towards the World Cup in Sweden, so the last two weeks have been busy with hard and long days on my bike.
Saturday I went to and back from the race in Flobecq on my bike. I didn´t have my best legs in the race but it was good training and it gave me a 4th place. Yesterday morning I could hardly get out of bed, knowing I have to go on my bike for 1,5 hours and then the race in Boezinge… Came back from my ride and went straight to bed, woke up to lunch made from Martin:) And then to Boezinge with no expectations. Suzie Godart, the Champion of Luxemburg, went on the first lap of twelve and on the third lap I attacked and went across to her. I was surprised how good my legs felt and on the last lap I attacked and won solo.
Today is just another day at the office and I have a long ride to do…

Hi again! It´s been a while since I wrote…
The vacation is over :-( And I have had great fun the whole week. But to be honest, I´m glad to be back in Belgium and back on a trainingschedule!
In Tönsberg we had some nice and quiet days. Two long easy trainings, a barbecue with all our friends and a boat trip when the sun finally appeard.
A big THANKS to Trond and Jon for letting us stay at your house, it´s so nice to have a Norweigan home as well!
