After a impressive race from Emilia today she has well earned her Swedish jersey. She was already in the first break that went on the first lap (of 8). On lap 5 me and Susanne could connect to the riders in the front on initiative from me. I raced very offensive on the last 3 laps, Susanne and Emilia was the only ones that could follow. Going out on the last lap I attacked hard with 11km to go, only Susanne could follow and we left a tired Emilia behind with 30 seconds. But with Susanne mostly sitting on my wheel Emilia came back… Another attack with 5km to go and Emilia was off again… Susannes offensiv racing kept “shining with it´s absence” and with her once again sitting on my wheel Emilia was there again.
3km to the finish and Emilia attacked, I took my responsibility but when Susanne didn´t want to take over I had enough… Watching Emilia ride away was painful. But atleast I beat Susanne in the sprint, silver medal is also ok!
Nice to see Emilias ride today and with us two racing so offensive today maybe there´s a throne change on it´s way?!

30 minutes to the start of the road race and Emma is calm and happy. The pressure is of after a world class TT Wednesday.
Spoke to the “Bird” on the phone and the most concerning were if the rain would continue through the 110k race…. :-) The lap is harder then last year with two hard climbs. Emma don’t want a copy of last years race who ended in a cat and mouse chase between her and the biggest contester, former world champion, Susanne Ljungskog.
So we better cross the fingers and hope Emma’s strong moral and form gives her the shirt she dreams about….

Tjohoooo…
Life if wonderful when things and legs are going your way!
Great to know that all the hard work struggeling through a mental tough period, working on my tt position and all the pressure around Olympic expectations pays out in a new reliefing national timetrail VICTORY.
Now I look forward to the road race on Saturday.

Tomorrow morning me and Martin are driving back to Sweden. Have had some days off after La Bira, went to Norway for a little relax… So no updating on internet and not to much training. Had one long day in the sun and the beautiful nature (Tønsberg is perfect for riding your bike) and besides from that it has mostly been about finding a good feeling.
On Wednesday I will try to defend my Swedish tt jersey and then on Saturday we do the roadrace.
Hope to be abel to give you a small update during the week!
