Season has started perfect and already I have 3 victories.
Last weekend it was in Het Nieuwsblad, on Saturday in Wanze and then Sunday in the first Belgium Cup race Tielt-Winge.

It´s not just me that are doing well, the whole RedSun Team is strong this year and 2010 will be a good year :)

Another recovery ride today so that I will be totally recovered from all the km this last weekend. Hard day tomorrow and Thursday and then kermis weekend again :)

Looked like the cold “Swedish” weather suited me…

Yesterdays victory in “Het Nieuwsblad” made all the suffering on training this winter worth it. A perfect start of the season! The team, my condition, supporters and the Belgium weather was just like i hoped.

I took my sorry ass up Patersberg without any help…. The race was all made by my teammates great racing in Kluisbergen and Knokteberg. In Patersberg we road away.

In the sprint with 4 I was clearly the strongest. I tried to jump at about 2km to go but in the end I had to trust my sprint….

This was a team victory! Last year we were a small team. This year we made the race and took control. We put pressure on the bigger teams and stuck to our offensive tactic. That clearly puts RedSun up with the toppers.

Just enjoying the victory! After podium, antidoping control and some time with my teammates I was invited to a birthday party. One glass of champagne for everyone of my teammates…. :-)

Tomorrow it´s finally time for the first race of the year… Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with a circuit that pass all my favourite places :) Windy and rain in the air and I can´t be more ready!

Good trainingcamp and Olympic medals.

Back from Mallorca since some days. Trainingcamp was good and a bit cold… It´s February and still winter so guess it´s nothing to complain about! Did not have any problems to carry out my trainings and especially the last three days was great :) even got to see the Puig Major this year!
Besides training I got to know the new teammates a bit more and of course I spend alot of time resting on my bed watching the Olympics. Goosebumps all over my body when one medal after another have been rolling in for Sweden. And aswell I have had feeling with Helena Jonsson (biathlon skiier and big medalfavourite). So much expectations and with all the press it has been very hard for her. No medal so far but I cross my fingers for her tonight. I still believe she can take a medal and she really deserves it! She is from my hometown and our dads used to work together… of course it makes me think about London 2012.

Besides all the training I find some time to spend together with my future husband, yesterday we spent a romantic afternoon in a spacenter VillaSana. Nice relax before the season starts :)

Four days have passed here on Mallorca. Tomorrow we have our first rest day which I think the whole team will like ;) Weather here is cold but so far we have been lucky to avoid the rain and we have been able to perform all planned trainings without interruptions.
Before I left Belgium me and Martin were on a birthday party celebrating our neighbour Ronin´s 9th birthday! The whole Heirweg was there and it was lovely to see everyone again. Waffles and a glass of wine and all stories of what have happened since we left Zingem in October!
At 22:00 the party was interrupted by a phone call… Antidoping was standing at my door and I had to pee in a cup :)
I think it’s very good that they come and do the controls, and it´s nice to see that the Adams system that I fill in every day is working.

Now time for dinner and then some Olympics on TV – Still waiting for the first Swedish medal!

Full Speed!

Just back in Belgium and as always it´s nice to come home!
Before I left Norway I was very effective and I got many things done. Besides from the normal as training, washing, cooking, resting, cleaning… I also visited Moss and their young and growing cycling club for a speech together with Martin. It was arranged at Spenst fitnesscenter where we also held a spinninglesson.
Moss newspaper showed up and made an articel and took some photos.

This week I´m preparing for Ronde Van Vlaanderen and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.

Reactions from the Advertising Standards Authority

Recently, as many of you have seen, KMC Chain Europe BV produced and published an advertisement featuring my image and a statement and endorsement attributed to me.

KMC did not obtain permission to use my image or attribute any statement or endorsement to me.

My management team complained to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) a body that regulates adverts in all media types.

The ASA challenged KMC to prove that, amongst other things, I had given my permission for my image to be used and my name to be attributed to their words of endorsement.

KMC failed to prove they had any rights to my image or any endorsement used in their advertisement.

The ASA upheld my management team’s complaint showing that KMC’s advertisement breached five codes of advertising two of which were truthfulness and substantiation.
