Finally vacation…
4th at the Worlds in Varese after a day that could have ended on top for Sweden. Last lap, 12km to go, and both me and Susanne was in the top group of 6 riders. Unluckily Susanne had a flat and suddenly I was alone together with Cook, Arndt, Vos and Worrack… Big names and GREAT riders. Two riders from Germany and they raced very offensive, attacked over and over again… I was SO tired but when it stopped up with 1300m to go I just had to try. Pain, pain, pain and even more pain… 300m before the finish and my Golden Dreams had turned into a 4th place. But once again “better to try and lose than to never try at all”
New team for next year: Red Sun
After a lot of top results this seasone I have been contacted by some of the top teams. Finally my decision fell on the new started UCI team: Red Sun
My good relationship with former AA Drink sportdirector Heidi van de Vijver and also teammates from this year made my decision easier. To continue the work with friends and people i trust feels really good. The team will give a lot of challenge and new possibilities. I look forward to an exciting 2009!
Today I leave for vacation. Norweigan mountains, no gsm, computers or pressure… Can`t wait!

ps. Had a great last evening in Belgium with supporters and friends. THANK YOU for this year. I promisse to prepare well for 2009. You give me a lot of motivation! Miss you already 🙂
